I was very surprised by these lights. I was expecting them to be decent because the reviews were so good, but seeing them in person is another matter entirely. The build quality is excellent. They are way heavier than I thought they would be since they are made out of a solid chunk of aluminum. The heat sink fins are very deep and work very well. I ran them for 2 hours strait while putting around on my quad and they were slightly warm to the touch at ~60f ambient temp. The light on the flood version is extremely diffused and even with no artifacts or hot/cold spots. The connectors have a double seal and the leads were long enough for me to hide the connectors behind a trim panel. Time will tell how they hold up, but so far I am extremely impressed with these lights. I also contacted Run-D customer service to see what the load at 12 volts would be. I sent them an email at 10PM and they replied by 4AM. 6 hours to reply is impressive! They said at 12 volts these draw roughly 2.3 amps per light, so 4.6 together for a total of 55.2 watts at 12 volts. The flood would make excellent back up lights or work lights for a vehicle, or low mount driving lights. I would think they would wash the hood too much if you mounted them on your pillars or roof bar, but on a bumper they would work very well for filling in the sides of the trail/road. I have included some beam shots but my iPhone dimmed so much when the LEDs were on that you can't really tell the effect they have. Imagine the scene 2-3 times brighter than what you can see in the pictures. These are mounted just below my stock headlights on my quad. Once I get some mounts I will put them on the bars and that should help them throw even better.
