Been on a light pole in my yard for a year now in Minnesota. Solid. It lights up the side yard some and the entire area of the backyard about a half acre. I live in a very dark area and I didn't expect so much light but it is excellent. It is very heavy to put up high, but it is brighter than the brightest the power company has. Highly recommend it for a large area. Comes on at dusk and goes off at dawn. Never seen one light brighten up a large area so well. Heavy and difficult to put up but worth it. Impressed by this. Don't get one from the power company and get this instead. Have one from the power company and I got the brightest, but this one is even brighter. Well worth it for the money. If you need a lot of light for a large area, this is the best one to get. I have a very dark dark backyard and now it's all lit up. Seems to be durable. Been through a couple storms with wind and didn't phase it. Very heavy to put up but the bracket to order with it is very durable and I am very happy with this light. It was so dark you couldn't see your hand in front of you but now I can see everything. Love this!!!I read many, many reviews and this unit came highly recommended. Being dimmable with a slip-collar fitting, 150 watt and 20,000 lumen, the brightness exceeded my expectations.I plan on purchasing additional units for our home very soon. This LED unit replaced a high pressure sodium light which was honestly a power-hogg, not to mention slightly loud, fussy about turning on and off. This unit surpasses the older style light in every manner. It's been up and running for just two day, but I really have no doubt it will last for many years. The company is located in San Diego, CA and offers wonderful support. American owned and operated.A friend of mine who is a retired electrical engineer installed the 2 lights we purchased and he said there lights are 1st Class products.. They are amazingly bright and light up a very large area. We had two 1000W metal halide lights destroyed by Hurricane Harvey and these lights are much better and consume 1/3 the energy. We also saved hundreds of dollars by buying them from LED Light Expert. We have 2 of these 300 Watt Next Gen Parking Lot Lights and 2 1000W metal halide lights. Late at night we turn 3 of the lights off and leave on just one of the 300 Watt Next lights as a night light. That one LED light lights up an entire acre very well and only uses 300 watts of electricity.I installed 5 of these september of 2018. It’s now November 2020. They were used from dusk until 11pm and 5am to dawn. So about 8 hours per day at the longest. Probably 6 on average. Total less then 5000 hours. Not close to 100000. 3 of the 5 no longer work. Do yourself a favor, but US made lights with real power supplies. Cheap LED in any form have lousy power supplies. The leds themselves may last but that’s worthless without a functioning power supply.contacted customer service & they're sending new drivers once I send a picture of the non functioning lights. Better than nothing, but I still have to rent a bucket...Just a solid replacement for the old HID lights out there. Only way to go anymore. This is my 3rd one. I don't know what the star category warmth is about here. I don't know if they are talking about the color of the light or if the fixture gets warm and cuddly.?Light has a dimming ability either with a variable control voltage or a resistor. Hard to get the resistor information, because it did not come with the limited documentation that is included. Basically a 100K resistor (or open circuit on the control leads) will give full brightness. 50K will give 50% brightness, 10K for 10%, etc. The supplied power leads are less than 2 feet. It would be nice if they were at least 3 feet. Otherwise a very nice product.Could / would have done this install myself; however, did not have the equipment for the 25-foot installation height. This was the same style LED security light used in commercial installations. This light outperforms any other light on our property or in the general vicinity. If you need additional lighting, this is the light for you. Heck, I’m now researching how my garden plants will respond to having light on them 24/7/365. ;)
